Honour Thy Body - Renaissance Project Harmony

Dear Friends,

7:35 - although shoulder pain and odd dreams kept us awake most of the night, we jumped out of bed
Laying in bed hardly helps anyone; Body stiffens, Mind wonders and Vanity gains weight.

8:55 - back to the swimming pool, steam room

Body only just managed 10 laps, Mind barely gathered her thoughts, but Vanity surprised us all by approving the "apres-natation" look. She thought the wet curls added a certain wildness, perfectly matching the new hot pink sandals. We, on the other hand, appreciated the freedom of a flattering, but no muss, no fuss hairdo!

9:30 - 2 hardboiled eggs and a cup of dandelion tea
12:00 - Body would've happily sat on the sofa watching TV, while the cleaning lady worked around her; however Mind decided to organize closets, cupboards, paper work and the study.

15:35 - went grocery shopping
18:30 - rainbow trout drizzled with fresh lime juice and salad (chopped raw kale, red cabbage, cucumber, Belgian endive, green onion)

19:30 - opened a bottle of Hubbs Creek Pinot Noir
19:45 - while Body had her feet up and Vanity kept looking at her reflection in the dormant TV,  Mind philosophized.
Sometimes, it takes a newcomer, a total stranger to reveal to us the most obvious. Although it might sound a bit flippant to quote my new coiffeur more than once, but his words of wisdom have given me a new angle. "Instead of concentrating on what you don't have anymore, enjoy what's left of you," Gabriel advised, insisting I should expose my neck with a short cut.
Vanity has her reasons to cover her legs and arms in the summer, but now she realizes that she still has her neck, hands, feet and the accidental décolleté!

21:00 - Body walked towards the kitchen, but instead of pouring herself another glass of Pinot Noir, she left the empty wineglass in the sink. Welcome Harmony!

52 more days of trial and error
