Honour Thy Body - Renaissance Project Mortality

Dear Friends,

7:45 - Body woke up painlessly
8:00 - we all decided to stay away from the scale
9:00 - pool, steam room  - Vanity is beginning to appreciate the "luminous" skin!
10:00 - an avocado for breakfast

11:00 - the father of the children and I went to see my lawyer.
11:45 - writing wills? Very complicated! Too many farfetched scenarios, if's and buts, should we's and shouldn't we's! Although ex-husband gave Mind power of attorney and appointed her the executer of his will, she pungently rejected his marriage proposal, forfeiting his pension.
Sadly, the distrusting Mind wasn't able to reciprocate ex-husband's noble gesture. She has to look for an impersonal trustee.

12:14 - Mind was threatening to leave us. Nothing like planning a will and talking funerals to remind you of your mortality!
12:45 - to Vanity's dismay, we ended up in Four Seasons' dbar, for a Martini and a fancy dip and pita number.

The irony of putting so much effort into honouring something perishable like the body, preoccupied the philosophical Mind, for the rest of the afternoon and evening.

20:00 - no one could blame Mind for having a glass of white wine at dinner.
22:00 - Complacency found something very rewarding in all the morbid thoughts and discussions of the day.
"Imagine, little old you, starting from scratch, has built something worth worrying about!"
7 lived, 59 more to delight in...
