Honour Thy Body- Renaissance Project Moderation

Dear Friends,
Although so far most nights have not been restful, 8:20 seems to be a good time to get out of bed.
8:22 - scale wowed us — only 3.5 pounds left to lose
9:30 - rushed down to the pool and steam room
Nothing motivates me better than positive reinforcement! The shoulder pain is still there, but stokes are becoming faster — it must be a good sign!
10:45 - thank goodness for running out of hardboiled eggs
11:00 - enjoyed a smoothy on the balcony (1/2 banana, a few raspberries, a pouch of that tasteless, gluten-free, good-for me cereal, a few slices of leftover skinless red grapefruit)
Although it takes time and effort to master the art of far niente, once there, it certainly is dolce! Now I understand why people begrudge teachers for having two months off. However, twice as tasty as actually doing nothing, is not having to do anything.

12:45 - bubble-gum pink mani/pedi, 30-minute back massage
It seems that swimming followed by massage loosens the shoulder muscles.
14:30 - found a Pub with a sunny patio, fresh mani doesn't enter the kitchen
15:35 - left the patio before the good-looking waiter had the chance to charm Vanity into ordering a second glass of Merlot
Mind was mindlessly following us from one store to another, without judgement — Vanity needed to find the "right" colour eyeliner (navy won).
17:40 - arrived home drenched in sweat (anticipating more weight loss), carrying fresh fruit for dinner

Hopefully, the salad (dressing on the side) and the 5oz Merlot, consumed under the watchful eyes of a bee, will not shame us on the scale, tomorrow morning.
Have we finally learned the meaning of the world moderation? 49 days left to confirm our suspicions.
