Dear Friends,
7:35 - Body woke up, looking forward to cortisone shot
8:35 - skipped pool and steam room — nail polish doesn't like chlorine
9:00 - a pouch-less smoothy (running out of everything)
12:20 - walked into GP's office with trepidation (haven't had a shot in a long time)
12:40 - left the office upset; it takes two weeks for the cortisone to work
Aside from low bone density, degenerative changes (osteoarthritis) in the neck, arthritis in the left thumb, rotator cuff tendonitis and a tad of cholesterol (there go the eggs), everything else was fine!
The best thing to do, after a disappointing cortisone shot and a poor health report, is to hang out with your wonderful friends who will tell you, you look good and have lost weight. Meeting in a Gelateria is also a great idea, although tonight, we are paying for the small cup of marron glacé gelato, with a big green salad and a piece of boiled, skinless chicken breast (yummy)!
As my doctor said jokingly, my baseball throwing days are over! Hence, 48 days left to find osteoarthritis-friendly hobbies.
